a
major contributor to changes and growth in British sculpture for
the past
50 years and the exhibition, running until August 19,will show the
key
stages in his development. Central to the event will be education.
School visits will be welcomed and can be booked on the exhibition
website.
Previews for primary teachers will be held on Monday, July 2, and
for
their secondary and tertiary colleagues, the next day. Individual
one-day
workshops are also being offered to prepare schools, led by teacher
and
artist Christine Hall. Throughout the exhibition a welding booth
is to be set up
in the town hall Corn Exchange, where visitors will be able to select
metals and brief a professional welder and sculptor to work to their
instruction. Sir Anthony has made sculptures in silver and town
jewellers
WE Clark is providing silver for visitors to make miniature sculptures.
The Corn Exchange will be used throughout the exhibition for workshops
in clay, wood and drawing and will be available for individuals
